This is me VeeKiraRay playing one of Antstream Arcade many challenges. The game in question is "Space Invaders" for the Arcade. The challenge name is "Alien Ambush" and the description is "How many points can you score with a single life?"

If you get hit or the aliens land it is game over. You will get an extra life at 1500 but it doesn't matter for this challenge. The maximum points for this challenge is 9990 since after that the score counter resets to zero.
So if you go over the score limit you will only get the points that are over for the leaderboard.

Almost achieved the maximum score but got carried away looking at the score and calculating what I need to hit to get perfect score. Maybe someone else will try to squueze in there.

I use two techniques here to give myself an edge. The first is getting maximum points from the ufo by first shooting it on my 23rd bullet and after that every 15th until the next level.

Seconds one is what is called the "wall of death" which is setup by destroying the 3 most outer columns, leaving the top ufo on the 4th column and then destroying the 5th and 6th columns. You will have a safe place to travel in the 5th and 6th column place and to focus on the bullet counting.

Once the row of aliens are on the bottom row they can't shoot you so you will take them out by starting from the farthest one which would be first to hit the wall. If you do it correctly the aliens above don't have time to shoot you. When the final row comes you need to get a feel for them since second last is a bit faster than you and the last one is a lot faster than you so you need get the timing right for taking them out.

The wall of death setup direction changes between levels. On levels 1 and 4 you start from the left side and on levels 2 and 3 you start from the right side.
