At start of mission do not send villagers across water, instead build a city centre and many farms at starting place, then military buildings and houses. Your buildings and villagers will be untouchable on other side of river. DO send all your troops to kill sarus (purple) enemy as quickly as possible at start of game in centre of map. Build up navy of many galleons and fireships and also put castle by dock. Now you are in a position to complete the campaign without fear of being overrun. Next attack either yellow or red at either side of the map. red is easiest as you can send boats directly outside their walls.
