This AOE2 build order is an AOE2 Man At Arms Into Archers rush Chinese build order. The Chinese Man At Arms Into Archers rush advances at 24 population (equal to 22 with other civs).

This AOE2 Chinese Man At Arms Into Archers build order is a great strategy to use with the current meta, as you should be able to reach your enemy with the man at arms before they have finished walling their base. The Man at arms rush is a powerful strategy that can cause early damage and distraction towards your opponent and will help you to gain an even bigger villager lead than what you already will have as chinese. A follow up with archers is a great way to prepare your army composition for continued crossbowmen, adding a 2nd range later, or you are able to add 2 stables and transition in to a knight and skirmisher composition upon entering the castle age. This will certainly take your opponent by surprise if they expect you to carry on with crossbowmen. That is my preferred way of playing the chinese. Another advantage of using the AOE2 Man At Arms Into Archers With CHINESE build order is that you will already have archer upgrades from the blacksmith that will be used by the Chu-ko-nu in the castle age.

The great thing about the Chinese is just how versatile they are as a civilization. With good stable options, including camels to counter knights as well as good range options, you really can do whatever you like with them. The chinese also have a great early economy due to the extra villagers and their other civ bonus of having cheaper technologies really helps in getting eco and unit upgrades a little sooner than you ordinarily would be able to.

I would say that the AOE2 Chinese build order for man at arms into archers is an intermediate to advanced build order. This is the same for any AOE2 Chinese build order due to the complicated Chinese start that requires quite a bit of micro management. but once you have mastered the Chinese start, the chinese are one of the best civs in AOE2.
