Here I show you how to Knight Rush in AOE2 with Chinese with 2 different build orders, with & without deer.

This knight rush is probably one of the fastest in the game and with one of the best economies to back it up due to the Chinese civ bonuses of having extra starting villagers, cheaper technologies and more food on farms. The non-deer version of the chinese knight rush is 28+2 population but reaches castle age at the same time as a generic 26+2 and the chinese build order that include deer is 26+2, reaching castle age at the same time as a generic 24+2 would. A Chinese build order in Age of empires 2 definitive edition is something that has been requested a few times by viewers and is certainly quite tricky to pull off for lower level players. There doesn't seem to be many aoe2 chinese build order guides around so my goal is to create a good selection of these as the chinese are a really powerful and versatile civ to play, if you can get to grips with their start.

An Aoe2 knight rush build order can be quite a risky strategy to use in open maps like Arabia. You will need to ensure that you are fully walled up in case your opponent rushes you with scouts or archers and even then you will find it hard to stop them breaking through. In lower level games where opponents aren't generally as aggressive, you can get away with the knight rush strategy quite easily and it will give you a huge power spike if you can cause a lot of damage. It's a strategy that's best used on maps like hideout or Hillfort or on open maps in team games.

Dark Age
Loom
6 villagers straight to sheep
1 new villager to make a house then to sheep
4 Wood (make a house)
1 lure first boar
5 berries (make 2 houses, lure 2nd boar)
1 to boar
6 wood
3 gold
Click Feudal Age

Whilst Advancing
Make 9 farms with sheep villagers
make house and barracks with wood villager

Feudal Age
Make Stable and blacksmith then farm
2 to gold
Click Castle Age

1 from wood to make house, 2nd stable and then farm
move Berry villagers - 3 to gold, 2 farms
move 1 from wood to farms
Research double bit axe

Castle Age
make 6 knights
research bloodlines and blacksmith techs
new villagers to farms to get18-20 farms in total
research horse collar and resume knight production

AOE2 Chinese knight rush build order with deer:-

Loom
1st 6 vilagers to sheep
1 new villager to make house then to sheep
4 Wood (make house)
1 lure first boar, start pushing all deer
4 Berries, lure 2nd boar
1 make 1 house then berries
1 to boar
4 (or 5 if there are 3 deer) Wood + make a house (same lumber camp)
3 gold
Click Feudal Age

Get 2 farms with sheep villagers
make barracks

FEUDAL AGE
Make Stable & blacksmith
2 to gold
Click Castle Age

sheep villagers to straggler trees, add farms
2 from berries to gold
research double bit axe
make 2nd stable with 2 from straggler trees
both builders to farms

CASTLE AGE
Make 6 Knights
New villagers to farms 18-20 total
2 berry villagers to gold
research bloodlines & 1st blacksmith techs
research horse collar
resume knight production
