Apache: Air Assault PC Review & Gameplay HD
-- Review --
This may not be the greatest flight simulator ever but it's really good for what it is...
This is what I have been waiting for. A fun to play combat air sim that harkens back to the good old days of tittles like Jane's FA-18 and Falcon 4. Although this game is not on the same level, I am so tired of every game producer concentrating on the next big "shooter" that they forget the Combat Air Sim market segment.
In the begin, there are two kinds of difficulty levels. Training and Realistic. I have been playing flying games for almost 13 years now so I chose the realistic option. When flying with a controller, the flight model is very realistic. Playing the game with the controller or keybord feels like flying an RC helicopter. Not that much fun but still decent.
The quality of the terrain and the environment is a let down - I expected much better. However the Mission Replay is very handy and it looks much better. You can even save the replays if you want.
But if you can accept the Graphics and the high level of difficulty the game can be a joy to play with. I didn't like it at all at start - I thought it was a mistake buying it. But I gave another chance to it and I started to like it more and more. A very fun and realistic game that you can play and work on your skill's to get better every day. Fun challange for all, beginners and pro's who like to fly often.
