Aperture Gaming Reviews Fallout 76
Greetings fellow test subjects,
Test Subject 1337 here for Aperture Gaming. Today we are reviewing Fallout 76.
We have teamed up with Vault-Tech to talk about the semi-MMO installment of the Fallout series. This game requires online connectivity and and PSN membership. I got to play this in the BETA and I played it from release to after its first patch update. The game takes place about 58-60 years before the events of Fallout 1, so a lot of stuff can bee seen as setup and as someone who got into the series from Fallout 3, I can see some reference materiel for future events to come. The game has a lot of pros and cons, for me the a big gripe is the VATS system, since we now have other real-world players to deal with. One thing I noticed was the construction element from Fallout 4 returns.
The game took out some things and put in some things from previous games and tried to add in some new stuff. I think this is how it backfires because it's trying to give quality and quantity, and something has got to give. One thing I like is how they used a real-life inspired folklore from West Virginia for part of the game. If you get the chance, research MOTHMAN!
I give it a 8.5 out of 10.
