This footage was captured on a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, a phone with the latest Flagship chipset at the time of Apex Mobile's lifespan, running at the maximum quality and resolution.
Now defunct, unsupported and offline, Apex Legends Mobile was a dream come true for a mobile port fan. While not being 1:1 in terms of engine (mobile being Unreal based, mainline being Source Engine based), this port brought a majority of what made the games early iterations feel so smooth to the mobile experience. Fast movement, satisfying FPS combat, a map that matched the base games at the time of this apps development, it's a shame this game did not last long.
Seeing as this game spent longer being announced than it was available to play, I wanted to offload some of my older footage from Launch Week to archive the game. I'm by no means a pro, but I am an avid Apex fan and I have been playing since pre-release, so take that for what you will. I hope this footage can bring back some nostalgia or serve an archival purpose, or act as a glimpse into what mobile games should strive to be.
