Here we are, the moment many people have a few problems with and I'll get to that in a moment, but first I need to emphasize the importance of Phoenix's downfall as strange as it might sound. I believe it was the most important thing to show a rising Phoenix take his first big fall from grace. It really serves his first name quite well and was the thing his character arc needed so that he could truly rise from the ashes (all puns intended) in the next game. But the way it was done I actually have some problems with, specifically something that is technically a spoiler so I won't say it in this episode but all I will say is that I couldn't believe Phoenix had left out such a crucial possibility to Zak's case over the death of Magnifi that it felt a bit off in logical ways that you would expect Phoenix to pick up on, especially by now. Yet, it has happened and we'll see exactly what happened to investigating the previous seven years was like as well as what happened to Phoenix over the years next time.
