General Info:
Brightness controller is a small tool that allows users to adjust the backlight brightness of Apple Displays on a Windows PC. Supports Windows vista, 7, 8 ,10 (both x86 & x64).

I was lucky enough to find a Apple LED Cinema Display monitor on the street and came across this helpful fix for the overly bright screen. I added in how to setup the sound through the monitor too, hope this helps you out.
