Aquaria was released at the end of 2007 and still occupies a special place among other metroidvaniya.

Map in Aquaria is a huge underwater world, a journey through which turns out to be an unforgettable adventure.
Plot and game ideas are conceptually and in detail worked out.
The character and his story unfold gradually, and the underwater landscapes abound in detail.
The crafting system is not obvious in places, but it does not spoil the impression.
The atmosphere of loneliness and mystery is gradually mixed with increasing complexity..

The game was made by the efforts of two young people over several years. Programming and all sound content was handled by Alec Holowka, while local graphic beauty was handled by Derek Yu.
Actually, they are the Studio Bit Blot, which released only one game, one of the best indie games of the past decade.

Aquaria вышла в конце 2007 года и до сих пор занимает особое место среди прочих метроидваний.

Карта в Aquria это огромный подводный мир, путешествие по которому оказывается незабываемым приключением.
Сюжетные и игровые задумки концептуально и детально проработаны.
Персонаж и его история раскрываются постепенно, а подводные пейзажи изобилуют деталями.
Система крафта местами не очевидна, но это не портит впечатление.
Атмосфера одиночества и загадочности постепенно перемешиваются с нарастающей сложностью..

Игра была сделана усилиями двух молодых людей за несколько лет. Программированием и всем звуковым наполнением занимался Алек Холовка (Alec Holowka), а за местную графическую красоту отвечал Дерек Ю (Derek Yu).
Собственно, они и есть студия Bit Blot, которая выпустила только одну игру, одну из лучших инди-игр прошлого десятилетия.
