A Review of Arachnophobia for the PC, released in 1991 by Bluesky / Disney. Based on the movie of the same name which featured Jeff Daniels, John Goodman and a bunch of evil people biting spiders delivered by Amazon Prime into unsuspecting folks houses. It feels a bit like Ghostbusters where your plucky Spider exterminator has to drive around the neighbourhood waiting for someone to scream for help. You then have to go into each house and try and kill all the spiders with your spray gun and anti-spider bombs. The real villain of the game appears to be the controls. Your guy just won't stop walking forwards like a suicidal meth head. You have to tap the move button again to stop him before he just walks right into Mr Spider Bitey McBitey Face. It's really unintuitive and spoils the experience. There's much more to the game than I get to show you, but ultimately the game never reviewed well even back in the day. The game also appeared on the Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64 and Amiga.
