Each machine can be micro-managed by setting its difficulty and cost, or positioning to increase it's foot fall. One surprisingly fun element is that the performance of each machine can be improved by completing in-game goals, meaning that playing the mini-games actually aids progress.
The idea of turning a mundane business into an arcade sounds fantastic, but the execution falls short. The laundromat chores quickly become repetitive and monotonous. The mini-games, while offering a huge variety of experiences, you'll find yourself wanting to spend only a few minutes on most before moving on.
Despite the potential, Arcade Paradise fails to strike the right balance between fun and tediousness. It's a missed opportunity to create an engaging and rewarding experience.
