DanceDanceRevolution 4th MIX PLUS SOLO (c) 2000 Konami.

The last version of DDR SOLO Series. Contains ALL contents from 4th MIX PLUS. The only difference is whether you play 4 panels or 6 panels. There are also some minor differences between the original and SOLO, but it doesn't matter for playing.

Controlled with 6 panels and 3 buttons. However, players also can select 4 panels.

This game runs on Konami System 573 Hardware.

- Trivia -
There are no differences between DDR 4th MIX PLUS and 4th MIX SOLO about contents like songs. Some differences are whether you can play 1 player ONLY, coin cabinets(SOLO has 1 cabinet, but original has 2 cabinets), the position of CREDIT(S) : 0(SOLO is center, but original is both right and left), and playing screen. When you run DDR 4th MIX at SOLO cabinet, 4th MIX PLUS SOLO will run.
In 4th MIX PLUS SOLO, all songs have 6 panels sequences.
This game also supports PlayStation1 Memory Card.

- Note -
When you want to run this game at MAME, you need a CHD file of 4th MIX PLUS. Because the contents contained at 4th MIX PLUS and 4th MIX PLUS SOLO are THE SAME, what you need is to just change CHD file name.
4th MIX PLUS needs "a34jaa02.chd", and 4th MIX PLUS SOLO needs "a34jab02.chd". As you can see, you need to change "jaa" to "jab" to run 4th MIX PLUS SOLO. When you search the keyword "a34jab02.chd" or "a34jab02" at Internet, nothing will come out.
Download the rom file "ddr4mps" and make a folder "ddr4mps" at roms directory, and put the "a34jab02.chd" in it. Then, it'll work.
At MAME 0.228 or upper version, you need "885a01.bin" file to run correctly. At MAME 0.210 to 0.227, that file doesn't need. In this video, this game runs at MAME 0.230.

DDR 4th MIX PLUS와 4th MIX PLUS SOLO는 들어있는 내용물이 같은 CHD 파일을 사용합니다. 이는 이 당시 솔로 시리즈가 본가 시리즈에 편입되는 양상을 보였기 때문입니다. 내용물이 같은데 그것을 오리지널에서 가동하면 4th MIX PLUS가, 솔로 기체에서 가동하면 4th MIX PLUS SOLO로 불리는 셈입니다. 차이점은 내용물이 같으나 그 이름만 다릅니다.
4th MIX PLUS의 경우에는 a34jaa02.chd를 사용하지만, 4th MIX PLUS SOLO의 경우에는 a34jab02.chd 파일을 사용합니다. 때문에 4th MIX PLUS에서 사용하는 a34jaa02 파일을 복사하여 이름을 a34jab02로 이름을 바꾸고, 마메 롬 디렉토리에 "ddr4mps" 폴더를 만들어 저장하면 4th MIX PLUS SOLO를 가동할 수 있습니다. 물론 롬 파일 자체는 ddr4mps 파일이 별도로 필요합니다.마메 버전 0.228 혹은 그 이상 버전에서 가동할 경우에는 "ddr4mps" 롬 파일에 추가적으로 "885a01.bin" 파일을 넣어주어야 합니다.
구글에서 "a34jab02.chd" 또는 "a34jab02" 키워드로 검색하면 결과가 나오지 않지만, "a34jaa02.chd" 또는 "a34jaa02"로 검색하면 바로 결과가 나타납니다.
