I guess the reason the player provides the amethyst in the quest is that Clint is providing the quest reward. It's just a little weirder in Archipelago.

Based on looking around after the video, between the special requests, Robin, Clint, and Krobus, there are 28 checks that are known to not be needed. So rather than there being 188 items left in Stardew it's more like 160. Since there are 474 items total, we're very nearly 2/3 done with the Stardew checks. I guess I also didn't subtract out island checks that have been previewed.

Also, when I was checking Clint, I noticed I hadn't visited him since getting the Steel Trashcan, so I hadn't seen the Gold Trashcan item before. It's the Dark Talisman used for that questline. I don't have train area access yet, but good to know where the talisman is.

I've also taken a look over the regular quest list and there sure are a lot that are related to Winter, so it's good that we're in Winter now. I also think I might be able to just put the battery in the tunnel box to start another questline: not sure if you have to have the secret note for it.
