Around 1 hour 39 minutes to beat. I labelled this a Casual Speedrun since I copied a speedrun video, but I was only going for game completion. Sometimes I find speedrunning a game to be more effective than doing it the long way. My main goal is to get games on the KILL LIST, and this was one I never completed. I'm playing as the Dark Side.

Theres 2 ways to win in this game. Take over all 5 power points (flashing squares) or kill all of the other team's opponents. This method goes straight for the takeover which can happen in under a minute if you do it at world class speed. It made for a good template of how to beat the game normally. I wasnt going for speed but it was still over pretty fast. I wont submit this run to speedrun.com since I used fast forward to skip the slow intro sequence as well as reloaded a save just to bypass the intro screen and get right into the game.

Theres a few things to note. Dark side should aim to have players on the dark squares, including the section that changes colors each turn. When that area is dark you get the benefit. The main benefit I noticed for matching the colors is more health, which makes it easier to win in the real time battles. Of course the White Side should be trying to take over the light colored squares. Im not sure if theres any benefits to sitting on the points of power, if youre not going for a takeover right away. Each side has one magician who can cast one of each spell per match. Win a match to beat the game.

Haven't completed a NES game in a while. This makes 230 on the KILL LIST including all regions, mostly US. I have a few casual speedruns like this that I posted on Speedrun.com which made me a moderator for Super C for the arcade and maybe a few others, by default, since I was the first to submit runs for those games back then. I only do speedruns and 1 CC's, No Death runs occasionally as a goal, but most of the time its a result of just playing well on a first completion of a game (or the game is just very easy).
