Back in 2012 I did review quite a fair few Android gaming tablets. We've come a long way since then with the latest Ambernic devices. Still we could properly game on Android over a decade ago.

The original Archos GamePad was a gaming tablet developed by Archos and released in December 2012 in Europe and February 2013 in the US. Here are some key features:
Operating System: Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
Display: 7-inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels
Processor: Dual-core Rockchip RK3066 @ 1.6 GHz
Memory: 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage (expandable via microSD up to 64 GB)
Physical Controls: Dual analog sticks, gaming keys (X, Y, A, B), and shoulder buttons, similar to the PlayStation Vita
Connectivity: Wi-Fi, Mini-HDMI, USB 2.0
