"Long ago, the Reach prospered, our ancestors failed us, and I fear that we are no better. As we fight for the edge of the galaxy, can we break the cycle? Can we build something new?"

Arcs is a sharp science fiction strategy game for 2-4 players, set in a dark but wacky universe. Players represent the officials of a distant, decadent, and neglectful Empire, now free to vie for dominance, whether through battle, the harvesting of scarce resources, or diplomatic intrigue. Prepare for dramatic twists and turns as you plunge into this galactic struggle.

A deck of 4 cards with ranks 1-7 (2-6 for fewer than 4 players) defines the action selection system. These cards are played in a trick-taking system to select actions, seize the initiative, and declare ambitions. The three declared Ambitions are the ones that will score in that trick. Timing is everything. Bad hands must be mitigated by careful card play and taking advantage of other players' card play.

Battles are resolved quickly, and the attacker chooses their risk level. Defenders must be prepared with appropriate defensive ships and cards on their board.

Each set contains 100 wooden ships and agents, 18 custom-engraved dice, a beautiful six-panel board, and tons of cards with over 60 unique pieces of art. The base game can be played without the optional leader and lore cards (for easier learning) or with them for a richer, more complete, and asymmetrical game. It is also the core of the campaign game (which requires the Dominion of Arcs expansion), which provides an epic and more thematic experience.

Take the Initiative: Take actions with multi-use cards. Copy the leader, change tactics, or take the initiative for the next round. Timing is everything.

Declare your ambitions: In each game, you define the objectives everyone will compete for to win.

Crush your enemies: Assemble your fleet for battle, plan your strategy with three types of dice, and roll them all at once to resolve combat in an instant.

Each game includes 100 wooden ships and agents, 18 custom-engraved dice, a beautiful six-panel board, and a wealth of cards with over 60 unique illustrations.
