Sushi Go! is a fun and fast-paced card game designed by Phil Walker-Harding and illustrated by Nan Rangsima. It can be played by 2 to 5 players in games that last about 15 minutes. The aim of the game is to score points by matching cards over 3 rounds. The cards include different types of sushi (maki, sahimi, nigiri) in various flavours, crunchy shrimp tempura, delicious gyoza or sweet pudding, as well as the essential wasabi and chopsticks. The more points you get the more you match these cards.

It will take you very little time to learn how to play. To start, deal out cards according to the number of players (10 if you are 2; 9 if you are 3; 8 if you are 4 and 7 if you are 5) and keep them secret. Each player will choose a card they want to keep and place it in front of them at the same time as everyone else. Once revealed, the player passes his hand of cards to the player on his left. With the new cards, a new turn begins in which this process is repeated until each player only receives one card, which he places face up next to the rest. Players must think about both the menu they are putting together and the dishes they pass to their rivals. Be careful not to pass cards to opponents that could give them too many points!

Each Sushi Go! card has different functions. Chopsticks, for example, allow players to keep two sushi cards instead of one in a single turn, and wasabi triples the value of nigiri cards. But generally, cards will give points for combinations of similar dishes: for every 2 tempura cards, you receive 5 points; for every 3 sashimi cards, 10 and the more gyoza you manage to collect, the more points you get. In the case of maki rolls, the total symbols held by all players is compared to distribute the points.

At the end of each round, the points that each player's menu has added are noted. At the end of the third round, the pudding cards are scored (at this point, the player with the most points gets 6 points and the player with the least loses them) and the winner of the game is decided. Sushi Go! is a game that will leave a very good taste in the mouth of anyone who tries it. Ideal for spending time with friends, family and children. However, we recommend that you do not play it when hungry... More than one will take a bite of the cards!
