Me rambling again about my approach to deploying Arduino nodes in the wild as IoT devices with the goal of running 24/7 with as little downtime as possible. The idea is to showcase what I am thinking when designing a system that is reliable and easy to manage even if the electronics are not industrial grade like the Arduino. All about the concepts.
Some of the links related to the brownout and watchdog that I wrote some time ago should provide you with a more info:

p.s: I have managed to keep an Arduino Nano up and running for about 2 years outdoors and it was all smooth sailing = success.
