50 meter long ethernet cable works really well with the two Arduinos on my contraption. I am using this odd adapter that splits the ethernet cable into 8 seperate wires. This shows you that you can easily use this setup if you wanna deploy stuff in a house, garden etc
I am thinking to put together a version that relies on the ethernet and IP standard as that will be just so much easier to deploy in the real world as switches are cheap nowadays. This means that instead of the RS485 Shield I will be using the Ethernet Shield. Will see how that goes.
