The idea behind a DIY modular enclosure design is to allow to swap the failed component quickly and efficiently. In my case the Arduino node that was outdoors for 2 years had the DHT11 sensor fail recently and I decided to replace it with one from a donor node (employee attendance system using RFID tags I was working on some time ago) You will see in the video what I am talking about.
