I forgot to mention Stellar Blade and Black Myth: Wukong, two games from 2024 that have appeared to "speed up" the typical Soulslike combat. This seems to be a trend as developers seek to put their own unique spin on the formula and possibly sets the stage for character action games to return to prominence as a powerhouse genre.
