Reporters from Scripps News are being labeled as hackers and may face legal charges after exposing a massive security hole. The journalists say they were able to find the personal data of over 170,000 customers online through a simple Google search, but the company says they used "automated means." What's that? A fairly simple open-source batch-download service that is available now.

Will the company sue the reporters? Will the Department of Justice? Could the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act be exploited, and has it been overly harsh on people labeled as hackers (Such as Weev)?
