Tarkov has a large variety of optical attachments that can be fitted onto your weapons. Red dots, holographic sights, and a bunch of different ranged choices. And one genre that has become particularly popular are the LVPOs or low variable power optics. These scopes in game have two different zoom levels that can be toggled between for more coverage of both closer and longer distances. But this has come at the cost of other scopes being less enticing because LVPO's are so powerful in what they do. People are so good at using them, they don't even run a red dot to compliment them. The default 1x zoom level is more than enough! So, that got me thinking: are LVPO's unhealthy for the game? Do they render other optics rather useless? Are there any changes that could be made to them so they aren't as powerful. Well, let's talk about it.
