Finally, we faced off against Cazador as Astarion and it was ... interesting. We did not get many voiced lines and there was a bit of dissonance from the companions.

Shadowheart enabled us to do the ritual by sharing the markings and letting Astarion carve them onto Cazador's back. But when it was done, she kind of shamed him for doing it? Of course we had to wipe out the Gur who somehow knew exactly where we were, and just managed to traipse into the mansion and be waiting on us to exit the

I did reload and do the non-Ascendant and we did not get the scene where Astarion takes you to his grave as he does when you are not playing as him. It just carried on with us sleeping at Camp and not much dialogue about his choice to become a Vampire Lord Ascendant. I wish we had gotten it playing as Astarion, but I guess you get that scene on a non-origin run.

Unsure if I'll keep him Ascended as Minthara sure approved of us using our new powers (this is my Darkest Timeline branch where I did the evil thing of wiping out the grove to recruit her. It cost me Karlach and Wyll tho; and nearly Gale if not for a good role and using two Inspiration points!)
