Argyll and Krille review: TuxFragger low diamond Main Tank. 2nd review
The second review we did for TuxFragger, on the 30th of November 2018, in this case, in collaboration with Krille, as it featured some Hammond gameplay as well. A couple important topics discussed in the vod:
- Continue to work on your awareness. You continue to look at your crosshair, and you still miss out on some important information on the side of your screen. Starting to look more at the killfeed is a good place to start.
- Your shield management on Reinhardt can use some work. You often block some irrelevant damage with your shield, which leaves you with less shield HP at moments when you really need it. Look to recognise when you really need your shield (usually, when there's an instant threat like a sniper, or when there's an actual 6v6 teamfight good on).
- Recognise the weaknesses of your own composition. You often tried to retake or take very aggressive fights without a Lucio in your team. Keep in mind that without a Lucio, you'll be a lot slower and you can't transition between aggressive and defensive positions as easily, because you look speedboost.
- Once again, try to be more decisive in what you want to do. If you tell your team that you want to use your shatter in a certain fight, then you should pull through with this and actually use your shatter.
- About Hammond, try to get maximum value out of the time you're suspended in the air. You can opt to activate shields before piledriving (only if you're within 8 meters from the enemies) to make sure you take any damage and stuns on your shield HP. Alternatively, you can try to shoot downwards in the air before piledriving, thus ramping up your overal damage.
- Look to avoid CC's/Stuns and high bursts of damage with Hammond, you'd be surprised how quickly you can be shredded. Even if you survive, you might give the enemy team a lot of ult charge which is never really a favourable thing.
- Try and decrease your downtime on Hammond. If you're not actively fighting something, look to set up for a new engagement instantly. Starting off on highground to set up for engagements is a good place to start.
- Improve your usage of minefields, which is largely dependant on experience and map knowledge. Other than that, you can look to play differently around your counters and adjust your playstyle accordingly when you might have to play in a more defensive manner.
Big shoutout to Krille and Jesse 'NeverMeltIce' who helped prepare the Hammond section of this review! Small note for TuxFragger, I could see that you're starting to improve and you're implementing the feedback we're giving you, keep it up! As always, if you have any more questions or vods to submit, hit us up!
