In this lecture and discussion session from my Spring 2013 Introduction to Philosophy class at Marist College, we look at Aristotle's discussions of the intellect and the intellectual virtues in Nicomachean Ethics book 6. We frame Aristotle's intellectual virtues -- wisdom, intuition, scientific knowledge, art or skill, and practical wisdom -- in terms of the various studies which students pursue in our educational institution, and the later practices they engage in.
