b. Task Force Alpha will assault a military compound at Kalimbo Army Base at [GRIDREF 042089]
Initial Actions
- The platoon will hold behind defilade while a leader's recon of the AO is conducted at OP-1.
- If the city of Bolabongo is occupied we will move in to clear, if not we will proceed directly to OP-2.
Bridge Crossing
- We will use OP-2 to reduce OPFOR defenses on the far side of the bridge, using air assets and Havoc 4.
- The Assault Element (1-2 & 1-3) will secure the near side of the bridge and wait for the Support Element (1-1 & 1-4) to arrive.
- The Assault Element will then proceed to secure the far side of the bridge.
- When the entire TF is across we will proceed to OP-3.
