Almost exactly one year after Another Age, Armored Core 3 was released. This entry introduced mission rankings. You're judged on various things such as damage taken, accuracy, destroyed enemies and so on. The best ranking you can get is S. There are no rewards related to ranks, it's pure bragging rights. I will not be trying to S rank every mission. Another new feature are consorts which are AI helpers you can hire for select individual missions.

We're back to normal with mission selection and like normal, it's not possible to complete every mission on a single playthrough. There are bonus missions you can trigger and some missions have alternate routes you can take as well. No plans on recording the missions I didn't do.
So far in the series, I think this one has the best music.

I'm using hardware rendering at x4 internal resolution. I have Disable Depth Emulation enabled which does wonders for the frame rate. Any mission with water features a rather significant visual issue and I was unable to find a fix for this that doesn't involve switching to software mode. There are ~40 edits.
There are no in-mission edits and I show all of my part purchases/changes.
