This video is to show Armored Core 3 on PSP running on Steam with a custom Steam Controller configuration compared to Armored Core 3 running on PCSX2 using a standard PS2 configuration. If anyone has better methods and control schemes, please share as I'm still learning as I go. If the information presented here helped you or if you're a fan of Armored Core, please like the video and share it for others that may need help getting set up.

Some may ask, how do you get emulated games to run on Steam? For the uninitiated, this is how...

1) Open Steam.

2) Goto Library

3) On the bottom left of the screen, you'll see + Add a Game. Click it. Choose, Add Non Steam Game.

4) Choose whichever non Steam game you want to run from the list. If you're attempting to load an emulator, then click Browse if it's not in the list and navigate to the directory where the .exe file is for whichever emulator you want to run. Select the .exe file.

5) Click Add Selected Programs. Your selection is now in Steam.

The next part is the controller connection.

6) Goto the selection you added to Steam and right click. Select Edit Steam Controller Configuration.

7) The Steam Controller config screen will launch. Goto Browse configurations listed at the bottom of this screen.

8) Select GamePad with High Precision Aim or GamePad (depending on which game you're running). I choose GamePad with High Precision Aim because it closely matches a classic configuration of a PS3/PS4/XB1 controller but the touchpad is configured like a mouse instead of a clumsy, slow right analog stick.

9) Close this window, and run your game/emulator from the Steam library list. Press the Steam button on the controller and the controller configuration screen should open. This shows that Steam and the game/emulator you loaded are playing nice together.

10) Close the controller configuration window and go into the emulator/game controller tab and set it to match a basic PS3/PS4/XB1 controller scheme based on what you just loaded in Steam. In other words, the D-Pad is set to up, down, left, right, the face buttons are X,Y,A,B etc. Done. If you've already set this prior to loading the selection in Steam, then you don't have to redo it. Just make sure the Steam controller configuration works by simply playing a game.

At this point you can customize the steam controller based on your tastes using a dual shock/XB1 controller as a template. These changes will reflect in the emulator.
