Hover-leg design built for mid-to-long range fights, but can also hold its own in close range fights. Unit mobility is strengthened by its hover-leg base, but has poor durability & stability. Equipped with a laser cannon, a rifle, sniper rifle and an ammo extension, the diverse weapon loadout enables it to fight effectively at any range; missile defense comes in the form of inside decoys.

The name "Rubicon" is a reference to the upcoming Armored Core title, as well as the Rubicon river and the crossing of said river by Julius Caesar, which marked 'the point of no return', with the term "crossing the Rubicon" being coined to convey this meaning.
