I put this to YouTube so I could show it to my friends because I was so hyped to finally beat this guy after a dozen or so attempts.
I didn't upload the attempts before this, but they were bad. There was no gradual buildup to this fight. It just happened.

My advice for what it's worth? Bum-rush Balteus with Pulse Blade and Pulse Gun. Manage your energy to avoid running out at critical moments. Keep the pressure on, but be ready to back off for the mid-fight energy explosion.
I wouldn't necessarily advise it, but this was also the first run where I didn't use Target Assist. I would constantly accidentally boost towards Balteus instead of dodging while locked on. That's probably just an issue between me and the controls, but it worked out.

Here's the build:
Right Arm: Pulse Gun
Left Arm: Pulse Blade
Both Back Units: Plasma Missile Launcher
Legs: Tetrapod
Booster: Buerzel/21D (The one that is "specialized for long-distance cruising." Good for closing the gap with Assault Boost)
Core Expansion: Assault Armor

The rest doesn't matter much (and I can't remember right now what they were), but just use whatever parts get as close to maxing out your load and energy without going over.
