It's time for us to head to Rubicon 3! The game opens with a mission that'll teach you the basics of your AC's movement and weapons, giving you a chance to explore a semi-open area to track down some mercenary IDs...

And the mission culminates in your first boss battle, the AH12 Heavy Combat Helicopter! And it's one hell of a welcome to Rubicon as it is by no means an easy fight.

The boss aims to teach you all about staggering, you don't want to play too defensive or you'll get chipped by its machine gun and missile fire, the safest spots are right under it or behind cover.
In terms of offensive, you're quite limited and your blade will deal the most damage and stagger most effectively, use the rifle and missiles to keep up the pressure and prevent the boss' stagger gauge from lowering too much and then use Assault Boost to rush in and unleash your blade's combos.

Keep an eye on your own stagger gauge, because you're exposed to a lot of damage if it fills up, as you can see at 16:57.
