Thank you for stopping by. This is Army Men: Sarge's Heroes for the N64, This game was also released on other platforms. Today we're playing this game from front to back so tag along.

This is the point where I like to talk a little about why I like this game. As per usual if you have a story about why you like this game please leave it in the comments below. I would love to read about it. For whatever reason when I was younger I was obsessed with this game. I do not know why, I do not know how but all I know is that I LOVED it. I never found any flaws in the game back then, I would replay the missions over and over and then when I beat it I would do it all again. My friends and I would play army men, when I got home I would assemble all my army men in elaborate battle against the vile Plastro. Looking at the game now, there are so many things I do not like about this game but, I have a small philosophy: I like to finish the games I pick up and play. That is exactly what I did here. Despite having no check points in levels, ally A.I. being non compliant and dumb luck (with the all guns and unlimited ammo cheat) I was able to squeak out a victory. In my playthrough I came to realize, it does not matter 1% how good you are at this game if you walk into an area and there are rocket launchers, you are done. There were so many times that I was just ripped apart by the enemies, I almost had to replace my controller. The levels are actually really fun and neat and well laid out, the game just desperately needs checkpoints. When you can spend up to 30 minutes on some missions only to get rocked by something you could not see off screen is very frustrating. I chose to play this version because this is the one I had as a kid and I loved playing it a lot. I've seen the quality of the other games and there is no doubt they are far superior. This one is just the classic for me though. I also never noticed the Nintendo 64 box in the Christmas level, and the amazing detail they put into the box (given their limitations) I had an absolute blast playing this again, despite the anger inducing parts its honestly quite charming, check it out if you have time.

Thank you so much for stopping by and taking time out of your busy life to spend some time with me and reminisce about some old games. This one held a very special place in my heart, and I'm sure it did in yours too. I hope you have an absolutely fantastic day and you get all the love in the world, you absolutely deserve it. That's all I have for now. until we meet again, see you in the sequel.

the end...?
