Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel, Videogame trailer

Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel is a third-person shooter video game developed by Visceral Games' Montreal studio and published by Electronic Arts. Released on March 26, 2013, for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, it is the final installment in the Army of Two series. The game is set in Mexico, where players take on the roles of Alpha and Bravo, operatives of the Tactical Worldwide Operations (T.W.O.), who face off against a powerful drug cartel known as La Guadaña.

Unlike its predecessors, The Devil's Cartel utilizes the Frostbite 2 engine and introduces new characters while retaining the cooperative gameplay for which the series is known. The game, however, simplifies the co-op elements, focusing on faster-paced action. Features such as competitive multiplayer are absent, emphasizing the cooperative experience instead. Customization options, including a mask creator, offer players more personalization than in previous titles.

The plot follows Alpha and Bravo as they join T.W.O. and become embroiled in a mission to take down La Guadaña. Their journey is fraught with intense battles, betrayals, and the revelation of deep personal conflicts. The game ends with a dramatic showdown between the protagonists and former ally Salem, who has joined the cartel, culminating in a choice that shapes the narrative's conclusion.

While the game introduced new elements, it received mixed reviews and did not meet commercial expectations, marking the end of the Army of Two series.
