Squidward has earned his moment to dazzle an audience during the Glove World Symphony Orchestra performance. Squidward gets a call from Mr. Krabs while he is getting ready, alerting him about a smelly-smell that smells... awful. All of a sudden, a huge swarm of jellyfish invades Bikini Bottom and starts attacking the locals! Oh, how terrifying! SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, and Mr. Krabs are in charge of eradicating the Jellien invasion and the clones that emerge from it. To escape these strange and somewhat terrifying monstrosities that are on the prowl, they'll need to keep one step ahead of the Overlord's assaults. They've battled robots, buffoons, and more; certainly they can defeat these terrifying Jelliens.... Right?
