So Intrepid Studios decided to put Ashes of Creation Apocalypse the Battle Royale mode on Steam for the 20 August test. While I think there are some very valid reasons to eventually take the product to Steam, there is clearly something I’m not seeing at this stage.

The results were bad. A 12 hour session ended up with 200+ reviews and only 37% of them were positive. The Steam page is littered with negative reviews and comments, most of which were unfair given the nature of the test that 20 August was.

The truly unfair part, was that even though there were a lot of issues, Intrepid didn’t really deserve all the hate they got. Some of it? Yes. Not all.

I personally think there was a better way to go about it, but nobody listens to me.
