AskAround is a new iPhone app from Ask.com that lets you chat in real-time with people in your area or any area of interest. You can filter chats by radius, from several feet around you to 15 miles away. You can also join chats in other cities/areas by configuring preset "spots" or sharing your "spot" with someone stuck at home while you're at, say, SXSW 2011.
