TL DR Explanation: People who MP Tune their cars play dirty, unfair and don't want to pick on someone thier own size. GL makes many game adjustments to stop them. Eventually, they finally resort to directly altering vehicle statistics, rendering my older review videos inaccurate and useless. From now on, I will only review (some) newly released vehicles in future updates.

Long Answer: So im sure everyone, or at least a majority of people are enjoying the new Showdown update with the new mode and whatnot. Unfortunately, not all is well with this update. There are those out there like myself that just want to enjoy the ride and then there are those that are in it to win it.

The ones that are in it to win it utilize a certain vehicle upgrade scheme dubbed "Multiplayer Tuning" or MP Tuning for short. For the uninitiated, MP Tuning is the act of applying very specific upgrades to your vehicle, in most cases only top speed and nitro upgrades, to make it very fast on the track while retaining a low rank. When these vehicles are taken into the Multiplayer mode, they are often put up against other vehicles of a similar rank but odds are, the opponents of the MP Tuned vehicle have more balanced upgrades at the same rank and as a result are slower than the MP Tuned vehicle in exchange for more balanced performance. When the race starts, this MP Tuned vehicle will be first off the line and probably halfway across the track by the time everyone else is making the first turn. And in the end, the MP tuned vehicle will and always win by a mile because despite everyone having similar vehicle performance ranks, the MP tuned vehicle only invested in speed and nitro upgrades, making his vehicle faster than everyone else on the grid.

That isn't fair in the slightest. Exploiting an unfair upgrade configuration on a vehicle and then using said vehicle in a race against less experienced players in slower cars in an effort to get easy wins and rewards is as close as one can get to cheating in this game without actually doing so. It's not cool and it needs to stop.

What does MP Tuning have to do with why I stopped making reviews? We are getting to that part.

GameLoft (GL) eventually picked up on the dirty tactics of MP Tuning and decided to do something about it. In past updates they initially changed the rank of the popular MP Tuned rides like the Trion Nemesis, Audi R8 E-tron SE, McLaren MP4/8 and Mercedes SLK55 SE. But when they did, The players expressed hate to that action because they couldn't get easy victories anymore and were finally going against people that actually gave them a challenge. Next in a later update, GL changed the Multiplayer matchmaking from similar vehicle rank to similar top speed in another effort to end the MP Tuning fad. Again, players backlashed the new system because again, thier MP Tuned cars were losing constantly to regular players who had balanced upgrades (particularly in acceleration). As a result, GL changed the matchmaking back to similar vehicle rank, again allowing the MP Tuners to wreak havoc on lesser players for easy wins and rewards. Now with the most recent update, the Showdown Update, GL has made a bold move to end or at least significantly reduce MP Tuned vehicles once and for all: directly adjusting the statistics of every D and C class vehicle in the game, alongside reranking all of the A class rides. Again, players expressed hate and loathed the changes all because they can't get easy wins anymore. But what's done is done. GL knows MP Tuning is unfair, is practically cheating and doesn't give less experienced players any stepping stones to progress through the multiplayer mode. I personally hate it too when i go into a race and get beat by a mile by someone who doesn't want to pick on someone thier own size.

As a result of the massive stat and rank changes across almost 100 of the games 220+ vehicles, and the possibility that they may do it again to more rides in the future, I have decided to cease making reviews on any vehicles already in the game. I will still make reviews, but only on new vehicles that are introduced in the new updates that haven't been reviewed on the Asphalt Channel or their subsidiary Youtubers. I apologize but this is what I have to come to in response to the poor choices of others.
