I was invited to participate in a preview session for the upcoming Assassin's Creed Mirage by Ubisoft. In this video I'll discuss my experience, and the preview version of the game.
Assassin's Creed Mirage is an upcoming action-adventure game developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux and published by Ubisoft. The game will be the 13th major installment in the Assassin's Creed series, and the successor to 2020's Assassin's Creed Valhalla. It is scheduled to release for Amazon Luna, PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, on October 5th 2023, and iOS on iPhone 15 Pro models in early 2024.
Mirage is set in 9th-century Baghdad during the anarchy at Samarra, and follows Basim Ibn Ishaq (a character first introduced in Valhalla) and his transition from a street thief to a fully-fledged member of the Assassin Brotherhood. The game has been described as a return to the series' roots, with a bigger focus on linear storytelling and stealth gameplay than more recent installments, which primarily focused on role-playing elements.
