I found another decent length side quest to knock out before the Hidden Ones DLC. While doing that, I wanted to talk again about how the government should provide life insurance for everyone in the form of a small tax that would cover funeral costs for all citizens. It seems ridiculous that no one talks about this. There are a lot of people talking about Medicare or healthcare for all (which is obviously a good idea and an important issue) but I have never heard anyone talking about the government providing all forms of insurance for its citizens. I think we should push for government funded funerals as well as government provided basic car insurance. They passed laws forcing us to have these things (funerals and car insurance) and nobody said anything-fine. But why can't we get them to provide us with simple funeral arrangements and basic car insurance? Doesn't that make sense?

Why should we have to pay a for profit industry/company for car insurance and to get life insurance to cover funeral costs? How does that seem like a good idea? They have an incentive to keep our money and not return it because all the money they keep is profit. The government can't/doesn't need to profit from our taxes and I would much rather pay a bit more in taxes to get rid of my car insurance payment and to make sure my family doesn't go into debt if I die and that I don't go into debt if a relative dies.
What do you all think? Does that make sense to you or would you prefer to keep paying tons of money out of your own pocket if a relative dies suddenly?
