So, Holly vs. VPC4 Control+ was a lot of fun, so I thought I'd try with another character... and apparently, I hadn't yet recorded a run with Starch, so... =)

I kind of wanted to start the run with a full micro-missile volley... which meant Starch wouldn't get two Accelerates to start... but using this opening strat, she was able to fairly reliably start off with an Accelerate and a Firepower. =)

As usual for VPC4 Control+, I used a "stay by the Mega Plasma Field node as much as possible" strat (it's probably not the most useful node for score or speed, but definitely useful for safety, due to its attack-deflecting capabilities!). And while I wasn't able to do so in every run... in this particular run, I was actually able to keep Starch near the node for the entire level. =)

Anyway, long story short, eventually... this run happened. ^_^

So, here it is, my first ever Starch vs. VPC4 Control+ S+... hope you enjoy!


A couple minorly interesting/amusing moments from this run:
1:18 Eep! Got distracted by the battery, and wasn't paying attention to the floor shadows! ^^;;
3:07 BTW, the Control nodes can actually block some enemy attacks... including the flame brute's attack. =) In this particular case, it happened mostly by accident (I was paying more attention to the mine brute in front of Starch, as well as the impending battery death!), but it is kind of nice that the nodes are capable of giving you a little extra help beyond their active abilities. =)
