Here's a description of a Time Attack, practicing, GUI/HUD layouts and, maybe the most important, how to get into Reverse gear. On other games you just press the brake pedal but in AC you have to manually gear down to N then to R and press the gas. To go forward again, upshift through N to 1 and continue on your way. Shifting is required even if you're driving an automatic, at least to get to Reverse and back out again.
