Gameplay run of all the sections and bosses from the first playthrough of stages 1 & 2 in Astro Boy on the GBA. Astro Boy was the creation of Tezuka Osamu the original story run was called Mighty Atom and it started in April 1952. In 2003, Hitmaker and Treasure teamed up to make this awesome 2D action platformer that mixes platforming, flying, shooting and brawling perfectly. To create one of the best games on the system and with a huge layer of depth that features well over 40 characters from the Astro Boy series.
As you progressive through the game you unlock, upgrades point to enhance Astro Boy. You also have a hex grid system to keep track of and unlock of all the different characters hidden within the game from the series. Stages also change as you meet the various characters in the story, making for a very replayable game. As you won't encounter all the characters on your first playthrough.
Stunning 2D visual along with a out standing soundtrack make for a fantasic game that is great for both new comers and fans of the series alike. This is a real masterpiece and one that often get overlooked, likely due to its license tie in nature. A huge amount of series have since been inspired by Astro Boy and it's fair to say Mega Man is one of them.
