We check out the beta (Exo Flight Test) version of the Astroneer 1.1 update. This version adds the Extra Large Shredder, a new machine that fits on an Extra Large Platform, including the new C variant that allows two large items to fit alongside an extra large machine.

We see how to build an extra large shredder with tungsten carbine and steel, and how you need to spend 5,000 bytes researching it. We also build the extra large platform C with iron and steel. Both use the large printer.

Once we have built the new shredder, we put it to use on some larger items such as wrecked platforms, wrecked rovers and even another shredder!

We also discuss what else is in the Astroneer 1.1 update, including the return of zebra ball variants, a new character customisation preview on the menu screen, and a bunch of new planet layers that can be found on Vesania, Calidor and Glacio, which we'll hopefully look at in a future episode.
