Welcome back everybody! To Let's play #ASTRONEER gameplay, part 10. In the previous episode of ASTRONEER we have established our first underground base! But making a base on a arid planet in ASTRONEER will bring as well many difficulties! Such as power. The day and night cycle on an arid planet is very different from the one we had on a terra planet. Which means we can’t use the same way to power up our base as we did in the very first episodes of ASTRONEER. We need to relay on power stored in batteries. To make batteries in ASTRONEER we will need lithium. There are right now two ways of getting lithium in ASTRONEER. One of them needs from us to build the trading platform. With the trading platform we can use the hydrazine trick to trade unlimited amount of lithium. Problem comes after some of the patches in ASTRONEER the price of lithium have increased or rather the price of hydrazine have dropped. That means we will need a fully stocked trade ship for one lithium. TO make batteries in ASTRONEER we will need tho lithium per battery and also an printer to make one. We can try to fabricated the very small battery from the astroner player but those batteries are not good enough to power up a mass production. So we need to look for lithium. We could fly back to our main base back at the Terran planet In ASTRONEER but since we are on an arid planet we can use it for our own benefit! As the arid planets have lithium deposits all over the surface of the planet. However we can use the terraforming tool just to suck all the lithium in. We will need vehicle with a trill. Lucky for us we have build an vehicle hangar in the previous episode of ASTRONEER so we can make a truck with a drill without a problem. However the drill needs also an crane to work as it should. We have one as well unlocked from one of the researches that we have got from the Terra planet. With this equipment we can began harvesting lithium! Look for lithium deposits on the surface of the arid planet and mine as much has you can! After a little trip around our underground base we will have enough lithium to build a few batteries and put them in to our power storage room located next to the underground hangar! The Aird planet is full of stone columns and pillars that often have research minerals with them. However you can’t mind out the rock pillars for anything right now, they serve just a decoration purpose for now in ASTRONEER. How to find lithium on a arid planet surface ? Well its easy look for small green crystals getting closer to it the game will indicated you have found a type of mineral. Lithium just as titanium can’t be mined with the terraforming tool you start in ASTRONEER. We need the drill to mine through the solid rock! But once we have the drill and the crane the mining will just take little time. Its good to have a storage module on the truck just in case so we won’t have to stop after making barely few lithium deposits!
