Let's play some Asura, shall we!

Today I go over some of my biggest gripes with the game, and why I don't think it's quite worth 10 dollars with keyboard/mouse controls.

Generally speaking, the movement is smooth, but the attacking leaves something huge to be desired. This is my biggest gripe. You can't hold down the attack button, and have to continually click it.

My second biggest gripe is the stamina bar. It's too limited unless you get lucky with the random upgrade system in order to get better upgrades for it. If you don't, then you basically get to choose: Attack, or dodge. It means that you're extremely limited and it makes the gameplay uninteresting. The times when I got a weapon that used zero stamina, I enjoyed the game greatly.

So for the final verdict, I don't think the game is worth it. It appears to be a full release, and without fairly hefty changes and better support for keyboard/mouse controls, I don't think I'll revisit this game.

Asura is an indie top-down hack 'n' slash game based on a fantasy setting inspired by Indian mythology. It features heavy rogue-like elements and a procedural skill tree which changes on every play through.
