In which I play "Decathlon", by Activision. The game was published in 1984, conceived by David Crane, and programmed by Paul Willson.

This is an enjoyable implementation of 10 Olympic events that together comprise the Decathlon. The various events are nicely done and reasonably intuitive to control The one exception to that is the pole vault, and even that one is fairly straightforward. One element that is almost entirely missing is sound. There just aren't any during the events themselves, and I think that's a mistake. It shouldn't have been that difficult to put in some thumps and thuds of various pitches, and some footfalls or something for the running events.
