In which I play "Computer War", published by Thorn EMI in 1983 and programmed by Colin Hume.

This is one hundred percent based on the movie "War Games" from the same year that starred Matthew Broderick and Ally Sheedy. I remember enjoying the movie at the time. It was meant to be a warning about the danger of global thermonuclear war. This game serves the same purpose, while allowing the player to participate in a simulation involving trying to shoot down missiles, match patterns (only a little bit of that), and choose which bases to decommission. It's good fun!
