4In which I play "Zythum", published in 1986 by Mirrorsoft, and programmed by David O'Connor.
This is a compelling horizontally scrolling jump-and-shoot sort of a game. I like the graphics, they have a nice feel about them. It's too bad I wasn't able to get into a second area of the game where it might not have been all about ice and snow.
It had that "just one more go" qualilty, but getting set back to the beginning all the time wears thin. I did eventually get far enough to discover that there are checkpoints, but it feels like a long way between them.
